“This Ain’t No Practice Life” is Published

Official Release Set for January 1, 2011

Coach Micheal Burt’s most popular book This Ain’t No Practice Life (TANPL) is set to be released January 1, 2011. Coach Burt signed a three book publishing deal with Franklin Green Publishing (FGP) in June.

This Ain’t No Practice Life has sold over 25,000 copies and is now available in multiple languages. The book will be available for purchase online beginning in 2011. TANPL will feature a new cover and has been revised with updated content with Coach Burt's latest keys to "go from where you are right now to where you want to be".

Coach Burt was introduced to Lee Gessner, a veteran of the publishing industry who spent the majority of his career with Thomas Nelson Publishing, leaving the company as Executive Vice President in pursuit of creating a new publishing model that includes over 100 years combined senior level experience in emphasis.

The FGP model focuses on connecting its authors to its editors, publishers, marketers, and sales executives forming a true partnership in building a catalogue tailored to the needs of the author and audience.

First Covey, Now Calloway

Joe Calloway, author of "Category of One", was a guest on Change You Life Radio on Sunday. Calloway provided insight about his book bestselling book. He is a partner in Engage Consulting Group, a nationally known speaker and a member of the International Speakers Hall of Fame.

Calloway offered insight about how companies should position themselves, the philosophies that drive him and what he does, and the reality of the recession and how it has impacted all levels of business.

“I'm helping companies position for success as we come out of the recession and into recovery,” said Calloway, during the show. “This notion of refusing to participate in the recession  really should be examined. I advised all of my clients that the recession was 100% real, that it changed everything, and that recessions ALWAYS create incredible opportunities for those people and companies that were smart enough to take advantage of it. I TOTALLY participated in the recession as I used it as an opportunity to reposition my business within the industry.”

Young man turned entrepreneur after reading "This Ain't No Practice Life"

“Service is the rent we pay to live on this earth.”

When Coach Micheal Burt sat down for dinner in late July he was caught off guard while watching Channel 4 News Tonight and a young entrepreneur mentioned “This Ain’t No Practice Life” as the inspiration behind him starting a business.

Shay Horseman, a former Middle Tennessee State pitcher, read Coach Burt’s “Seven Decision to Play at a Different Level and began to put them to use every day. The results, according to Horseman, “I began to apply the message and one particular statement stuck: ‘5 years from now we will be the same person we are today except for the books we read and the people we meet’.

Coach Burt reached out to Horseman the next day and were able to meet this past week to discuss the book’s impact and Horseman’s company “365 Baseball Academy”.
