Most of us wonder if our lives make a difference. Coaches don’t have that problem.Saban_championship1

Murfreesboro, Tenn., -- Continuing to ask himself how he can impact people and organizations, and then connecting with opportunities to do just that, Coach Micheal Burt is getting back to basics in Jackson at the Mississippi Coaches Association Annual Conference July 16th.

Sharing the Stage: Saban, Burt, Nutt

Sharing the stage with University of Alabama National Championship coach Nick Saban and University of Mississippi football coach Houston Nutt, Burt’s message will focus on the lessons he has learned in creating collective passion through coaching and in corporate America.

Calling Burt a “trim tab” during their first encounter, Covey suggested that Burt was someone that had the energy, desire, and ability to impact those around him in a positive and powerful way. Covey might have been using some foreshadowing as Burt will appear on the cover of Success Simplified with Covey. Reading Covey’s, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People was a defining moment in Burt’s life as the message of the book became a differential advantage in shaping his teams and players.

Launches Change Your Life Radiocylr

Coach Burt a True Inspirationfairfield

Learning to "play up" is a concept Coach Micheal Burt constantly emphasizes to his staff and anyone around him.

Its one thing to speak about these principles but what separates Coach from other leaders is he lives these actions out everyday.

I have been around many types of leaders throughout my young career both as a collegiate athlete and as a worker with prominent companies like the Grand Rapids Press and the Nashville Sounds, but being around Coach Burt on a daily basis is unlike all others. Among many traits his first-class character is what truly distinguishes from other leaders.

Speaks to MTSU Honors College during Leadership Week

Coach Micheal Burt was able to speak in front of his favorite audience on Wednesday. Coach Burt volunteered his services to the Middle Tennessee State University Honors College during Leadership week for the second straight year.

Having already spoken at two previous events on Wednesday and headed to another out of town speaking engagement that night, Coach Burt made the time to speak to college students about finding their unique voice and passions, which according to Coach is the most important decision you can make in your professional life.

As always, Coach Burt combined short stories, humor, and an intense message to drive home his message and handed out cards for the students to contact him for a free consultation. Just one of the many voluntary services he offers even during a day filled with many other engagements, because he remembers that without somebody seeing the good in him at an early life he wouldn’t be afforded the opportunity today to impact so many students’ lives.
